Marsascala is also very close to the old town of Zejtun which is a typical Maltese Village surrounding a church. At Zejtun you can truly experience the Maltese way of living. The well know fishing village of Marsaxlokk is also close by. Like Marsascala, this village is much sought after for its fish restaurants. Marsaxlokk is very popular with tourists and locals alike for its fresh fish market which is set up every morning. You should reserve a morning for a stroll through this busy market and enjoy seeing fresh Mediterranean fish being sold and then order a fish lunch in one of the many restaurants that encircle the picturesque bay. The bay is usually full of traditional Maltese fishing boats unless you visit during a time when the fishermen are out fishing of course!
Five of our six villas are strategically located between Marsascala, Zejtun and Marsaxlokk thus offering you the serenity of the countryside while still being a stone’s throw away from the town centres. Villa Watersedge as its name implies is located literally on a pristine rocky beach in Marsascala. Marsascala is also very popular for its beaches. The area includes rocky and sandy beaches within a few minutes walk of each other. On the beach you will really have the opportunity of meeting the locals as the beaches are usually very busy during the hot summer months. Diving is a very popular sport in Malta and there are over 7000 qualified divers and numerous diving schools. In Marsascala it is very easy to set up a taster dive or to hire equipment if you are a qualified diver from the local diving club.
Transport is catered for by the new Malta Public Transport bus system, self and chauffeur driven car hire, and taxi services. Bus stops are located within half a kilometre from each other and buses are very frequent. GPS systems are obviously recommended because although Malta is a small country, there is certainly a lot to see and do. The popular Maltese nightlife areas of Paceville, Sliema and Bugibba are only minutes away by car from Marsascala.
